Ageing
Visible aging is characterised by changes in the skin due to degradation of its structure and elasticity over time. These changes are due to a combination of multiple physiological and environmental factors.
Visible signs of aging occur when our bodies begin producing less collagen and elastin, resulting in wrinkles and sagging. As we age, dead skin cells take longer to shed and cell turnover slows, which can create drier skin that is more prone to fine lines. Preventable factors like sun exposure (which causes photo aging), pollution and smoking accelerate the aging process.
